Artist Teena Flanner has always surrounded herself with vintage heirlooms, softly faded colors, and a warm environment. Now, the world-renowned artist has become synonymous with her distinctive vintage figures and ornaments—papier-mâché treasures hand painted and dusted with glitter.
More than two decades ago, Teena began collecting 19th-century mold—ice cream, candle, and candy—whatever struck her fancy. These metal molds became the base for her collection of 300-plus Santas, snowmen, rabbits, snow babies, and other heirloom creations.
In 1991 her passion became her profession. Thanks to almost a decade of continuous licensing of her designs, what started as a home-based business has placed Teena’s reproductions in thousands of homes throughout the world. Her highly sought after and collectible originals remain exclusive and limited.
Teena’s work has been featured in Mary Englebreit’s Home Companion, Country Living, Southern Lady, and Victoria.
Teena maintains two homes—one in Virginia and the other in Wisconsin, where she has consolidated her studio and spends the majority of her time. Along with her sweetheart, Stephen, Teena’s consultants and informal board of directors continue to be her children—Christopher, Susannah, Katie, and son-in-law Joe.
