Tonye Belinda Phillips has lived in the charming and picturesque mountain community of Camp Sherman, Oregon for more than 35 years. She lives there with her husband, Doug, and their two teenage boys, Ande and Charlie. They enjoy an active and creative lifestyle that includes skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, biking, sailing, and gardening.
After many years of knitting, embroidering and cross-stitching, Tonye discovered quilting in 1992. She quickly fell in love with hand appliqué and hand quilting. Tonye teaches an occasional quilting or knitting class at The Stitchin’ Post in Sisters, Oregon, and her work has been featured in several publications including Transitions by Andrea Balosky, Through the Garden Gate by Jean and Valori Wells, and Quilted Memories by Mary Lou Weidman.
