Jessie Walker is a renowned international photographer who devotes much of her time to photographing homes, gardens, and collections for publication in national magazines. Jessie has been assigned photographic projects throughout the United States, England, France, Germany, Norway, India, Thailand, and Myanmar (Burma). Her work has been the subject of one-person shows at the Chicago Press Club, the Chicago Athletic Club, Ruth Void Gallery, and the Zenith Corporate headquarters. Jessie’s work is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago. The museum named her the best photographer of interiors in the area and honored her in a special exhibition, Target Market.
Her photography has been published in more than 130 hardcover books. She is the author of Jessie Walker’s Country Decorating (© 2004 Sterling Publishing Co., Inc.) and Country Living Collectibles—Rabbits (© 1996 William Morrow & Company, Inc.).
Even though Jessie holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism with special research in the legibility of typefaces, her true love is photography. She is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers. Jessie lives in Glencoe, Illinois with her husband, Arthur Griggs.
