Create small spiral in first 2" of 2' piece of 14-gauge wire. Twist large spiral in next 12"; bend first spiral vertically and second spiral horizontally, creating 3" base. Wrap wire around test tube with three twists to reach the top. Twist remaining wire into small spiral and bend away from edge of test tube, creating a hanger.
Using glass slide as a template, trace and cut decorative paper rectangle. Cut out small squares and ink edges. Adhere squares to decorative paper. Lay paper behind glass slide. Wrap edges of slide with self-adhesive copper tape. Twist 2" of 26-gauge wire in small loop, and then twist together three times; thread bead over twist. Spread ends of wire apart and across top of slide; trim excess with wire pliers and then secure with copper tape.
Hand-write thank you message to guest on back of slide, if desired.
Shaping Wire
Using a 3/4" dowel to shape wire around will make the wire easier to handle and you won’t have to worry about breaking the glass.
